Back to school for area kids

Area students will be returning to classes in just a few days, but first they have to register.

The following is a list of the various schools and registration times:

Cloverdale Community Schools

Students register on Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 9-11 a.m., 1-3 p.m., and 5-7 p.m.; Wednesday, Aug. 8 from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. A $100 deposit is required for any payment plan.

Classes will begin with a full day on Tuesday, Aug. 14. The elementary and middle school hours will be from 7:50 a.m.-2:45 p.m. The high school hours will be from 8 a.m. -3 p.m.

Greencastle Community Schools

Registration is one day only on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Deer Meadow from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. The first day of school is Tuesday, Aug. 14 and is a full day.

Elementary beginning and dismissal times are 8:15 a.m.-2:50 p.m. Middle school hours are 8:05 a.m.-3:10 p.m. Students at the high school will attend from 7:55 a.m.-3:10 p.m. (Note the change of times at the high school.)

South Putnam Community Schools

Registration will be conducted at each school as follows:

Central Elementary continues Monday, Aug. 6 and Tuesday, Aug. 7 from noon-7:30 p.m.

Fillmore Elementary will be Monday, Aug. 6 and Tuesday, Aug. 7 from noon-8 p.m., and Wednesday, Aug. 8 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Reelsville Elementary registration is on Monday, Aug. 6 and Tuesday, Aug. 7 from noon-4 p.m., and 5-8 p.m., and Wednesday, Aug. 8 from 8 a.m. -noon and 1-3 p.m.

Junior-Senior High School registration continues Monday, Aug. 6 from noon-7 p.m. for those attending Area 30, and Tuesday, Aug. 7 from noon-7 p.m. for the junior-senior high school.

Starting and ending time be 8 a.m. for Fillmore and Reelsville Elementary with dismissal at 2:30 p.m., Central Elementary will begin at 8:20 a.m. and end at 2:50 p.m., the junior and senior high school begins at 8:23 a.m. and ends at 3:08 p.m.

North Putnam Community Schools

Registration was conducted earlier this week.

Classes will begin with a full day on Tuesday, Aug. 14.

All schools begin at 8:30 a.m. Elementary schools will dismiss at 3 p.m. and the middle and high school will let out at 3:20 p.m.
