Earl Phillip Sourwine

Earl Phillip Sourwine, 80, Shelbyville, formerly of Greencastle, died Friday.

He was born in Greencastle and was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the infantry division under Gen. George Patton's Third Army. He attended Bryant Business College and worked part-time as a mail clerk at National Bank of Detroit and retired from Rost Jewelry Store.

He was a member of Christ Church Cathedral Church.

Survivors include his sister, Rosemary Bariceman and friends Kenneth and Jeanette McCoy.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbra Sourwine, parents Earl and Eliza Sourwine.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ Church Cathedral, 55 Monument Circle, Indianapolis with burial to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
