Virginia R. Clark

Virginia R. Clark, 87, Fillmore, died Thursday.

Born in Fillmore, she was the daughter of Herschel and Elsie Cowgill Ruark. She married Norris W. Clark on Dec. 23, 1939, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2001.

She retired from the Bursar's Office at DePauw University and was a life-long member of Fillmore Christian Church.

Survivors include her children, Dick Clark and wife Carol, Florida, and Dan Clark and wife Debbie, Fillmore; a brother, Don Ruark and wife Linda, Fillmore; a sister, Rose Ellen Gherardi and husband Len, Mishawaka; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Mary Scotten, Margaret Martin, Jerri Farmer, and Patty Bittles.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Rev. Bobby Hopper officiating. Burial will follow at Fillmore Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
