Cougars fall in three games

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The North Putnam volleyball team lost to North Montgomery in three games Monday night. The Cougars lost 25-13, 25-14 and 25-18.

"Tonight we started each game out with the intensity that I am looking for," Cougar coach Michelle Spencer said. "However, we did not sustain that intensity throughout the match. When you play teams that are as good of ball handlers as North Mont. is, you have to keep putting pressure on them."

Taylor Alles had four blocks, four digs and four kills on the night. Ashley Doyle recorded 11 digs, one kill and one ace, while Logan Doyle added five digs and four kills.

Kayla Green contributed five digs, six kills and one block, with Kacy Wendling adding 13 assists and seven digs. Carlye McGaughey had three digs and Tippany Tippin had two digs and one kill.

"We must learn to keep the energy at an appropriate level for each play no matter what happened the last play. We are looking forward to concentrating the rest of our week on playing Cloverdale as a rematch from County Tourney," Spencer commented.

North Putnam will host Cloverdale at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
