DANVILLE -- The Greencastle volleyball team rebounded from an opening game loss to defeat Danville 18-25, 25-13, 25-10, 25-18 Monday. The Tiger Cubs improved to 10-11 on the year.

The GHS junior varsity also defeated the Warriors 24-25, 25-21, 15-10 to move its record to 5-10.

"We are improving at both levels of play," GHS coach Trish Lowe said. "We got off to a slow start at the varsity level and then came back strong. We did some nice things adjusting to their blockers and hitters."

Kelsey Hennette

Kelsey Hennette led the Tiger Cubs with her service and setting. The senior was 18-for-18 serving for 11 points and three aces. She collected 31 set assists and 30 digs.

"Kelsey Hennette had a great night behind the service line and setting up our hitters," Lowe said. "I was thrilled with the distribution of sets. We had six players with kills."

Leading the way were Olivia Miller and Kristen Flint who each had 3 of those kills. Miller also led GHS in blocks with 16 and two stuffs.

The Tiger Cubs host Turkey Run at 6 p.m. today.
