CAME

Wanda M. Harmless Came, 91, Greencastle, formerly of Clay County, died Thursday at Autumn Glen Assisted Living Community.

Born in Clay County, she was the daughter of T. Ernest Pell and Margaret Wilson Pell. She graduated from Van Buren High School and in July of 1936, married Thomas G. Harmless. He preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 1954.

She and her husband worked on the family farm. Also she worked at Angwell Curtain Factory in Greencastle; the Windbreaker Plant in Brazil and then later was the pie baker at the Blue Bonnet Restaurant in Brazil.

Survivors include her daughter Ernestine Lunsford and husband Arnold, Greencastle; three grandsons; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; special friends Paul and Ann Atkinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Thomas Harmless; and her last husband William Came, April 28, 2007.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at French Funeral Home with Patrick Larracey officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to the time of service.
