Ashlee Pinney (left) and Mindy Fordice

North Putnam High School seniors and Future Farmers of America vice presidents Ashlee Pinney (left) and Mindy Fordice (right) unload canned goods FFA members collected for the Senior Center Food Pantry. The group donated six shy of 4,000 food items for the pantry. The donations should last the pantry at least two months, said Senior Center organizer Alice White.

  • Good work NPHS seniors and FFA memebers for the collection of food for the Senior Center Food Pantry. I only wish others who have more could donate what extra they have to people who need it. I don't know what the problem is but I know first hand that Greencastle folks are going to another food bank in another part of the county . Maybe because the one here in the city is running out or running short on supplies. As high as gas is I assume this to be the reason as these folk are using gas a lot more gas to get there for the help they receive, and there are greater numbers who are doing so than in the past. Please help all you can, you never know when YOU might need this help yourself, life has a way of turning around on you some time or other.

We all need help maybe once in awhile, and if someone tells you other wise they aren't being truthful with themselves. As a memember of these sometimes needing help club I want to thank you all who donate for this very worthy cause.
