Ronald Erdmann Timm, 80, Reelsville, died at Sunday at his residence.

Born in Algonquin, Ill., he was the son of Erdman William and Augusta (Rehberg) Timm.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of sergeant.

He was employed as an appliance serviceman, working for Sears in Elgin, Ill., Butler Appliance in Kokomo and Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Terre Haute and the American Legion Post of Greencastle.

He married Barbara Ruth McConnaughey on Oct. 1, 1950 in Woodstock, Ill. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Vicki Timm and husband Stephen Aker, Reelsville, and Laura Parker and husband Jeff, Bloomington; two sons, Steve Timm and wife Barbara, Reelsville, and John Timm and wife Marcia, Amboy, Ind.; nine grandchildren and one great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Moore Funeral Home, Brazil, with Pastor John Stacy officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery in Kokomo at 3 p.m. Thursday.

Visitation will be 4--8 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home.
