GHS wrestlers place at Zionsville

On Saturday the Greencastle wrestling team competed in the Zionsville Tourney.

Jacob Wright finished the day with a 3-1 record in the 189-weight division to place third. Jesse Vermillion was 2-2 at 145, which was good enough for fourth place.

Kyle Buchanan, at 215, and Andy Harrison, at heavyweight placed fifth with records of 2-2 on the day.

On Thursday, the Tiger Cubs ran into a tough Southmont squad, losing to the Mounties 69-6.

Greencastle's lone winner on the night was Jacob Wright. Wright won the 189-weight class by pinning Southmont's Jesse Martin.

Greencastle will compete in the County Tourney at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
