HSPC  thankful for Foundation support

To the Editor:

The Humane Society of Putnam County (HSPC) would like to send a sincere thank you to the Putnam County Community Foundation for sponsoring their last transport team of 2007.

The transport and 25 dogs left on Dec. 26 for Stratham, New Hamp-shire. The New Hampshire SPCA has been frequently accepting dogs from the Humane Society of Putnam County. Due to mandatory spay and neuter laws on the east coast, the problem of pet overpopulation has significantly declined and the New Hampshire SPCA can afford to take in animals from various shelters and organizations.

The HSPC will continue to transport dogs and cats to the SPCA, but is in need of corporate sponsors to help fund the continuation of this mission.
