GHS regains lead in county bowling

With one week remaining before sectionals, the Greencastle Bowling Team regained the lead in the Putnam County Bowling Conference. By defeating North Putnam, Greencastle slipped ahead of South Putnam into first place.

On Thursday, Greencastle will go head-to-head with South Putnam with the Conference title on the line. Cloverdale will take on North Putnam in the other match of the night.

Sam Schlatter's 309 series placed him first in the open tournament. Todd Fenwick was second with a 290 and Zach King finished third with a 231 total.

On Jan. 30, all bowlers in the Putnam County High School Bowling Conference will bowl five games to decide which five males and one female will represent the conference in the regional in Evansville. Also, on Jan. 31, the four school teams will bowl two regular games and five Baker Format games. The winning team will represent the conference at the Evansville Regional.

Competition will begin at 4:15 and admission will be $1 at the door
