SP 8th grade drops close one

After battling back from a 13-9 halftime deficit, South Putnam made it close, but ultimately fell to Clay City 26-25 Monday night.

Jenny Thompson led the Eagles with nine points. Brooke Boetjer was next with six point, followed by Emily Dabrowski's five.

Sarah Burnham had three points and Kaylin Yon closed out the Eagle scoring with two.

South Putnam -- Thompson 9, Boetjer 6, Dabrowski 5, Burnham 3, Yon 2.
