Colleen Lawrence

Colleen Lawrence, 86, Cloverdale, died Sunday at her residence.

Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Shirley Blaine Dorsett and Mary Agnes (Akins) Dorsett. She married Venice Earl Lawrence on March 9, 1940, and he preceded her in death on June 12, 1971.

A homemaker, she also worked as a nurses aid at Donna Nursing Home, Cloverdale, and as an assembler for P.R. Mallory, Greencastle.

She was a member of Belle Union Craft Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Louise Terry and husband Robert I., Belle Union; two sisters, Margaret Fern Travis, Cloverdale, and Shirley F. Milhon, Cloverdale; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Dorothy Moake, Esta Foster, Rosalie Allen, Leo D. Clearwaters and Ruby Sichting, brothers Wayne Dorsett, Raymond Dorsett, Donald Dorsett and Bobbie Allen Dorsett.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with burial to follow at Cloverdale Cemetery.
