Two women's basketball players earn all-region

Two DePauw women's basketball players have earned All-Great Lakes Region honors by D3hoops.com in voting by sports information directors in the region.

Junior guard Cassie Pruzin was named to the all-region second team, while sophomore forward Jenna Fernandez was a third team choice.

Pruzin, a first team all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference selection, was the team's second leading scorer with 14.4 points per game and led the squad with 6.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.6 steals per game along with 71 three-pointers.

Fernandez, a second team all-SCAC choice, led the Tigers with 14.5 points per game, was second with 6.2 rebounds per game and hit 51.1 percent of her shots.

The Tigers finished the season at 28-4 after their third straight NCAA Division III quarterfinal appearance.
