South sweeps Monrovia

MONROVIA -- After having to make a late comeback against Monrovia on Monday, the South Putnam softball team took control of their second game with the Bulldogs on Tuesday, winning 10-2.

The Eagles got the ball rolling with a run in the first inning and added two more in the third. After another run in the fourth, they really laid it on in the sixth with five runs.

Samantha Tomasino picked up the win for the Eagles and Oceaia Boetjer came in for the save.

Meghan Canary went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Allysia Lollar was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Boetjer was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.
