Eagle softball wins

CAYUGA -- The South Putnam softball team moved its record to 12-2 with a 16-5 win at North Vermillion Saturday.

Sam Tomasino pitched a complete game and also helped her cause by hitting a home run.

Offensively for the Eagles, Krystal Welch tallied four hits. Oceaia Boetjer had two doubles, a triple and four RBIs.

Meghan Canary contributed a triple and four RBIs. Katelyn Sibbit tripled while Alex Boyce and Bailey Birt both doubled.

The Eagles host Greencastle at 5 p.m. today.
