William J. Mahoney

Mr. William J. "Bill" Mahoney, 64 years of age, died April 30, 2008 at 11:30 p.m. Chicago time in Northwestern Hospital. The viewing was held in Chicago at Casey, Laskowski Funeral Home on Friday, May 2.

Burial and services were in Danville, Ill. at Resurrection Cemetery. Bill was buried at the grave site of his parents, Dan and Mary Mahoney on May 3.

Bill was a graduate of GHS and ISU. He lived his adult life in Chicago working in Civil Service and as a travel agent. Bill was an animal lover and did pet sitting for various families. Bill loved to travel and escorted his Mother on a trip to Ireland. He did volunteer work for community service organizations.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Mary Mahoney. Survivors include sisters, Doris Mahoney Miller and Marge Mahoney Miller, and brother , Jim Mahoney, a nephew, Fred Miller and a niece, Cathy Miller Hickman.
