Andrade, Smith match highlight of day for DPU

ST. PETER, Minn. -- The DePauw doubles team of senior Erin Andrade and sophomore Kayla Smith advanced to the NCAA Division III quarterfinals following a 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 win over Paige Sumida and Whitney Waters from the University of Redlands.
They'll take on Emory's Tshema Nash and Sabra Rogers who defeated top-seeded Siobhan Finicane and Olivia Muesse of Pomona-Pitzer 6-2, 6-4. Match time is scheduled for 3 p.m. CDT on Saturday.
In singles competition, freshman Janelle Arita dropped her first-round match to Julia Browne of Tufts as Brown won by scores of 6-0, 5-7, 6-4. Pomona-Pitzer's Rebecca Lange topped freshman Kelly Buckey 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 in the other first-round match involving a DePauw player.
