  • I must comment on the GHS graduation last night. First, I thought the senior class president did a great job as M.C. It was nice to see a young man with solid conservative views that was not afraid to express them. He was cool under pressure. Second, the band was great under the direction of Bob Hedge. Oh, yes, Mr. Hedge, I really enjoyed hearing "It Is Well With My Soul". I was singing the words as your band was playing. Third, with so much "union mentality" among teachers today, it was nice to see Mrs. Parker and Doug Miller singled out as they retire. Vickie was vintage Vickie, as she addressed the graduates. As Mr. Miller was introduced, I thought, "Wouldn't it be nice to name the basketball court after him as the school did the auditorium after Mrs. Parker?" All in all, Greencastle High School is a pretty good school.
