Sectional 29 action begins

NASHVILLE -- Although Greencastle drew a bye and will not be in actiona until Thursday's semifinals, action began at Brown County's 3A Sectional 29 Monday with three games on the day.

In game one, Edgewood defeated Sullivan 9-7.

Game two was a one-sided affair as West Vigo drubbed Owen Valley 17-1 in five innings.

The day's final game was a close one, with the host Eagles outlasting South Vermillion, 7-6.

On Thursday, Greencastle will take on Edgewood at 5 p.m. In the game to follow, West Vigo does battle with Brown County.
