Gary Keith Kallner

Gary Keith Kallner, 65, of Frankfort and formerly of Kirklin and Monticello, died Saturday at his home after a yearlong illness.

Mr. Kallner was born Dec. 7, 1942, in Frankfort to Gordon Keith and Ada M. (Beechler) Kallner, who both survive. He married Christa D. Faucett on Sept. 19, 1969, and she also survives.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in the Vietnam War.

He retired from Chrysler Corp. in 2001 after 21 years of employment as a millwright.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was a member of the Frankfort American Legion and Frankfort V.F.W.

Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory Keith and Tracy Kallner of Bainbridge and Charles David and Gwen Kallner of Brazil; a stepdaughter, Yolanda Kallner of Frankfort; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Richard "Bud" Kallner of Frankfort and Kenneth S. and Vicki Kallner of Greencastle; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie and Ron Fausset and Chris and Butch Barnett, all of Frankfort; a stepgranddaughter, Stephanie Kallner of Frankfort; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A brother, Larry Allen Kallner, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on June 14 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirklin, with the Rev. Jim Amos officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or St. Elizabeth Hospice, care of St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette.
