Roy L. Bachert

Roy L. Bachert, 85, of Roachdale died at Mill Pond Health Campus, in Greencastle Friday.

Mr. Bachert was born May 20, 1923 in Greencastle to Frank Bachert and Elizabeth (Sipp) Bachert. He married Marjorie H. Keck on Dec. 31, 1969 at Greencastle, and she survives.

Mr. Bachert was a farmer, a member of the Roachdale V.F.W., and served in the Navy during World War II.

Also surviving are three stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Patricia and Ora Lady and Linda and Tom Burger, all of Greencastle and Bonnie and Ken Dedic of Iowa; 10 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and several great- and great-great- grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Roachdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Harold Keck officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
