Nick York stands with Robert York to receive the Mark of Excellence Award from General Motors District Sales Manager Randy Jones.

The folks at York Pontiac in Greencastle have another plaque to add to their showroom walls after receiving a prestigious award.

The Mark of Excellence Award was given to the business Thursday for the year 2007. Father and son Robert York and Nick York were both on hand to accept the plaque.

General Motors (GM) District Sales Manager Randy Jones said, "This award is given to dealerships for their unsurpassed treatment of customers, outstanding sales, service and training."

Jones went on to tell Robert York that they were one of four dealers out of 15 in Jones' district to receive this award.

"This award just goes to prove that we respect all of our customers and employees," said Robert.

This is not the first time that the York's have received this particular award. Nick York said that although this Mark of Excellence Award is something new for GM, York has been a previous recipient.
