Putnam County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Charles Rybolt, 49, West Terre Haute, was booked at 3:47 p.m. Friday for a petition to revoke probation.

* Jeremy Allen, 29, Bainbridge, was booked at 2:17 a.m. on Saturday for public intoxication.

* Robert Noble, 36, Greencastle, was booked at 11:39 a.m. for domestic battery.

* Perry Norman, 37, Cloverdale, was booked at 11:02 p.m. for operating per se, operating while intoxicated and public intoxication.

* Deborah Burlingame, 38, Greencastle, was booked at 11:52 p.m. for failure to stop after causing damage and criminal recklessness with a vehicle.

* Paul Kniep, 32, Wheaton, Ill., was booked at 2:25 a.m. Sunday for public intoxication.

* Clifford Simpson, 50, Beech Grove, was booked at 4:10 a.m. for non-support of a child.

* James Campbell, 29, Cloverdale, was booked at 8:21 a.m. Monday for a petition to revoke probation.

Sheriff's Department

The Putnam County Sheriff's Department responded to several accidents recently.

* On June 7 at 4:21 a.m., Brittany Stokes, 22, Coatesville, was on C.R. 600 East when her vehicle veered to the right and into a ditch causing her to roll over.

Damage was estimated between $1,000 - $2,500.

* On June 13 at 7:10 a.m., Stephen Shaw, 57, Terre Haute, released his parking brake and rolled back into Tamara Meek, 32, Cloverdale. He stated he never saw her car until he had hit it.

Damage was estimated between $750 - $1,000.

* At 10:40 a.m., Dean Hartly, 60, Huntington, was traveling eastbound on I-70 when his rear tire blew out. He was able to make the median before laying his bike down.

Damage was estimated between $1,000 - $2,500.

* On June 14 at 11:27 a.m., Thomas Kraft, 22, Coatesville, was on C.R. 525 West when he ran off the roadway and overcorrected causing him to flip his vehicle.

Damage was estimated between $2,500 - $5,000.

* At 6:30 p.m., Brad Stratmann, 50, Coatesville, was on C.R. 550 North when a deer ran in front of him and he was unable to avoid hitting it.

Damage was estimated between $2,500 - $5,000.

* On June 15 at 1:45 a.m., Timothy Burdine, 22, Rockville, was on C.R. 200 East when his vehicle steered towards the east edge of the road for unknown reasons and he was unable to control it, causing him to hit a utility pole.

Damage was estimated between $2,500 - $5,000.

* On June 16 at 2:00 a.m., Zachary Miller, 20, Reelsville, was on C.R. 275 West when a deer ran in front of him and he was unable to avoid hitting it.

Damage was estimated between $750 - $1,000.
