Putnam County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* Stephanie Wegman, 29, Indianapolis, was booked at 6:49 p.m. Tuesday as part of a petition to revoke probation.

* Charlie Pingleton, 22, Indianapolis, was booked at 11:25 p.m. for failure to appear.

Sheriff's Department

One accident report was turned in at the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

* On July 4 at 5:50 a.m., Joseph Baker, 44, Greencastle, was on C.R. 300 West near U.S. 40 when he swerved to avoid a deer and flipped his car into a ditch.

Damage was estimated between $5,000 - $10,000.
