Dance Factory competes at regional

The Dance Factory competed May 16 and 17 at Rising Star Regional Competition in Indianapolis.

The beginner competition team was Kaya Daub, Becca Depasse, Lauren Swearingen, and Dalyn Boor. They received a first place gold for ballet, pom and character tap. Dana Lorenze-Daub did their choreography.

The intermediate competition team was made up of Lily Colter, Allison Marshall and Madison Russell. They received a second place gold in lyrical, fourth place gold in jazz and first place gold in tumble dance. Lorenze Daub also did their choreography.

The Halftime team of Ashley Salesman, Shiloh Webb, Lily Colter, Allison Marshall, Madison Russell, Kaya Daub, Becca Depasse, Lauren Swearingen, and Dalyn Boor received a first place silver award.

Lorenze-Daub, Megan Keller, Brittany Campbell and Tricia Junker did choreography for the Halftime team.

Soloist Colter received first place gold in jazz with choreography by Keller. Marshall received second place gold in lyrical with choreography by Campbell.

Daub, 6, received character tap and ballet first place golds, and was named a top five soloist for ages 8 and younger, posting a third place finish with choreography by Lorenze-Daub.

All choreography is original and created by the choreographers and instructors at the Dance Factory. The beginner and intermediate teams will be competing in their last competition this year in St. Louis, Mo. July 30-Aug. 6 at StarQuest World Finals.
