Golf scramble to benefit fire service

The Cloverdale Township Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting its 10th annual Golf Scramble on Saturday August 9 at the Clover Meadows Golf Course.

Registration is at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Everyone is asked to bring their own four-person team and the event is limited to the first 25 teams

Entry deadline is August 6. Cost is $200 per team or $50 per person. Entry fees include Green Fees, Cart, and rib-eye steak dinner.

First-place is $400 , second is $300 and third is $100 as well as prizes for closest to the pin and longest drive.

Sponsor a hole for $100 or $50 for half a hole. Entry forms are available from any CTVFD member or at the Clover Meadows Golf Course.

Proceeds will be used to purchase new equipment.

  • Why does the CTVFD need to have fund raisers? Don't the get $70,000 + from the Township? And why do they need neww equipment?
