Eagle volleyball downs RP

The South Putnam volleyball team defeated Riverton Parke in three games Tuesday night, evening their season record at 3-3.

"I thought the team played really well tonight," said Eagle coach Jill Newton. "It has been over a week since our last game, so I was very happy with how we played."

Kaliegh Miller led the Eagles with 17 points, four aces and 14 assists.

Fellow senior Oceaia Boetjer had six kills. Ashley Wombles recorded 10 blocks. Taylor Goss led South with 16 digs..

"We have been working on a new rotation in practice, and I thought the girls adjusted really well. Our serving was also much better," Newton said.

The JV won in two games, moving its record to 2-0. Individual stats were not available.
