Golf scramble was great success

To the Editor:

On Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008 Family Youth and Community Development Program held its third annual golf scramble as a prelude to the Jazz Fest on Sunday.

The FYCDP Board of Directors would like to thank the following businesses and individuals for their generous contributions and support: York Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge, Headley Hardware, Max's Barber Shop, Therese Cunningham State Farm Insurance, Watts Contracting, Benny's Floor Coverings, Old National Bank, Alan Hill, Sodexho, Raymond Churchill, Banner Graphic, First National Bank and Furniture Aware House.

We would also like to thank the volunteers at the center who prepared the wonderful meal after the golf outing.

The Family Youth and Community Development Program was created to support families in Greencastle's south end.

We are committed to working together to create a community that supports and encourages youth to meet their potential and to recognize, honor and support our senior citizens for their vast knowledge and sacrifices.

Your support helps our programs of tutoring, mentoring, computer skills training and our family resource center.
