Cougars fall to Warriors in four games

DANVILLE-- The North Putnam Cougars volleyball team lost to Danville Monday night in four games 25-19, 25-22, 21-25, 25-8.

"The girls played well at times, this was a game we should have came in with more confidence and taken home a win," said coach Jill Schreiber.

Leading the Cougars in kills was Taylor Alles with eight, she also had 9 digs, and five solo stuffs. Megan Gray led in assists with nine, she also had six digs. Paxton Stephenson led in aces with four. Logan Doyle led in digs with 18. Next was Carlye McGaughey with 15. And Megan Robinson had 10.

"The girls' are good enough and can play with just about anyone, we just need to find that confidence and know how. The win and loss column does not reflect how much we have improved this season, I am proud of the girls for working so hard and being in the matches we have played," said Schreiber.

The loss brings their record to 6-16. Their WCC record is 1-4.

The Cougars travel to South Vermillion Wednesday starting at 6 p.m.
