The new Kork & Keg Liquor store should be opening at the end of October after months of construction.

The tentative opening date is Oct. 26.

Located in the freshly built College Corner complex at the intersection of East Washington Street and Indianapolis Road, the store will anchor the complex, which has room for five more businesses besides the liquor store and the Victorian Day Spa, which is also slated to move into the strip center.

The new liquor store will replace the old one, which will be demolished and possibly replaced with a park or open area. The new store is estimated to be about 6,400 square feet.

The developer of the complex is the owner of the liquor store, John F. Cunningham of Frankfort.

  • They've been saying that for almost a year now. I'll believe it when I see it. I hope this new one is non-smoking for the employees. Otherwise, it will still be Plainfield Discount Liquors.
