Phyllis Trout Padgett

Phyllis Trout Padgett, 89, of Greencastle died on Friday, Nov. 21, 2008.

Mrs. Padgett was born Jan. 26, 1919 in Putnam County to Oral Ernest and Dovie Jones Collins. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Steve Trout and wife Marcia of Greencastle, Rodney Trout and wife Deborah of Carlisle, Pa. and Pamela Hughes and husband Roger of Brownsburg; sister Jean Roberts of Texas; two step-daughters, Virginia Trout and Barbara Hines and husband, Steve both of Greencastle; 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Her parents; two husbands, Oscar Elwood Trout and William R. Padgett; four sisters, Bernice Shake, Melba Isaacs, Joann Sellers, Millicent Collins; and four brothers, Lowell Collins, Cedric Collins, Bruce Collins, and James Harold Collins preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Troy Trout officiating. Burial will follow at Cloverdale Cemetery.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
