Eagles seventh graders split

The South Putnam seventh grade A and B-teams split their Tuesday contests with Rockville. The A-team won 35-26, while the B-team fell 23-15.

For the A-team, Sawyer Arnold led the way with 23 points, followed by Hunter Barr and Wes Riner with four points each. Derek Chestnut and Nathan Criss chipped in two points each.

Klayton Vittetow was the B-team leading scorer with seven points, with Austin Query, Larry Hurst and Taylor Arnold all chipping in two points each. Joe Waters and Wyatt Nees contributed a point apiece.

The Eagles will be back in action Thursday on the road against Southmont with a 6 p.m. tip.
