Claiborne Parker

Claiborne Parker, 92, of Bainbridge passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008.

Born June 3, 1916 in Gallitin, Tenn. to Charlie and Florence Smith Parker.

Mr. Parker had been an engineer for Liquid Carbonic Company for 20 years before retiring. He was also a World War II veteran.

He is survived by his wife Jessie Dyer Parker; sons Denny Parker and wife Janice of Greencastle, Danny Parker and wife Teresa of Bainbridge, Jerry Parker and wife Carole of Morton and Charles Parker and wife Cheryl of Arizona; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and sister Mildred Parker of Tennessee.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 at Chandler-Hays Funeral Home in Greencastle followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.

Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
