Angels Among Us

Tuesday, December 23, 2008

As part of their holiday celebration Friday, students at Central Elementary sang carols and shared Christmas memories with the residents. It was an effort to teach the fifth-graders about the season of giving by giving to a local organization instead of having a classroom gift exchange. Pictured above are Joey Masters, center, and Dylan Drawbaugh, right, who presented a Mill Pond resident with an angel table decoration made by the fifth-grade students of Central Elementary. Mary Allen, left, presented a resident of Mill Pond with an angel table decoration Friday as part of Central Elementary holiday celebration.

  • I applaud these young students for their compassion and sharing. What I don't think is very nice is the fact that the recipients were only listed as "residents".
