Mildred A. Hunter, 99, of Greencastle, died on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008.

She was born on May 10, 1909 in Brooklyn, Ind. to Abraham and Ida Cox Nauman.

Her husbands, Ray McGinnis and Morris S. "Pill" Hunter; two sisters, Kathryn Deweese and Ophia Duncan; and brother, Ralph Nauman preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hunter was a member of Fillmore United Methodist Church and a 75- year member of Fillmore Order of the Eastern Star #186.

Surviving are her children, Beverly Cavin and husband, Roland of Lincoln, Calif., Sharon Maxwell of Greenwood, and Gloria Cole and husband, Maurice of Belleville, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Edwin Hunter and wife Evelyn of Fishers; many nephews and nieces, including Bea Wade and husband, Malcolm of Plainfield; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Taylor officiating.

Burial will follow at Fillmore Cemetery.

Calling will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
