Wasatch Lake offers great getaway

POLAND -- Wasatch Lake is a rustic country retreat located on 300 acres of private woodlands.

Wasatch is an Indian word meaning 'beautiful vista," and is a fitting description of this quiet getaway.

With rustic cabins and simple amenities like a fireplace with unlimited firewood, fishing permit and a boat you can use anytime.

When you check into your cabin you'll find linens are on the beds, towels are in the bath, and firewood cut and stacked. Cabins also come with a DVD, barbecue grill, microwave, refrigerator, stove, coffee machine with filters, toaster, salt and pepper, plates, silverware, glasses, pots and pans, paper towels, sponges, matches, bedding, towels, dish soap, hand soap, full bath, toilet paper, air conditioning, electric heat, and deck.

Each cabin is unique and the largest cabins sleep up to eight people. Rental packages run from $100 to $250 per night, with a two-night minimum stay during the week and weekends and three-night minimum on select holidays. Wasatch Lake is open all year and the rates vary depending on the season.

The Long House Lodge offers a unique and entertaining setting for private parties, corporate retreats, family reunions and wedding receptions. Any event will absorb the charming simplicity of the Wasatch Long House Lodge.

The 9,000 square foot lodge opens up to the lake through a large, inviting porch. It rents for $100 an hour with a $300 minimum. The Lodge is available between 9 a.m. and midnight.
