Tiger Cub freshmen down Cadets

After allowing the first four points of the contest, the Greencastle freshman boys basketball team led the rest of the way and held-off Cascade 35-30 on the road Tuesday.

Leading 13-8 after one quarter and 23-12 at the half, the young Tiger Cubs held off a late Cadet charge to secure the win.

The Tiger Cubs committing only four turnovers in the first half, but turned the ball over 10 times in the second half allowing Cascade to continually chip away at the lead. In the end, however, the Tiger Cubs held on for the victory.

Ryan Battin led Grencastle in scoring with 10 and Trevor Huber added nine. Hunter Mitchell had 12 rebounds for the Tiger Cubs to go along with five points. Brody Comer of Cascade led all scorers with 15 points. Greencastle (3-2) travels to Edgewood Saturday for the John Foutch Freshman Invitational. They play Edgewood in the opening game at 9:30 a.m.
