Harry Glen Stinson

Harry Glen Stinson, 77, of Cloverdale, formerly of Mt. Meridian, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009 at the Summerfield Health Care Center.

He was born on Sept. 10, 1931 in Tazwell County, Va. to John K. Stinson and Lera M. Whitt Stinson Cook.

Mr. Stinson was married to Grace Goldie Messer Stinson and she preceded him in death on Feb. 7, 2002. He was a retired track maintainer for New York Central and Conrail.

He is survived by his sister Betty Jean Allee of Reelsville; three brother, James Stinson and wife Wanda of Stilesville, Hansford "Hank" Stinson and wife Rhonda of Fillmore and Robert J. Stinson of Brazil.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John David Stinson.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Deer Creek Cemetery.

Calling will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
