Water boil lifted for Cloverdale

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

CLOVERDALE -- The boil order has been lifted as of 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Cloverdale residents had been placed under a boil under since a water main break Saturday afternoon.

A cracked pipe on Robert Weist Avenue near the corner of Lincoln Street caused the water pressure to dip below IDEM requirements. It also left some residents with no water for a while.

Repairs were made to the ductile iron pipe by 9:30 p.m. Saturday, said Don Guthrie, utility manager.

Water samples were collected and they have come back clean, said Guthrie.
