Martin P. Kerr, 43, of Bloomington and formerly of Greencastle, died at home on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, after a brief illness.

He was born in Greencastle on March 17, 1965 to Joseph Franklin Kerr and Linda Gorham Kerr. He worked in Facility Maintenance at Indiana University and was the drummer for the "Harsch Reality" Band.

Mr. Kerr is survived by his parents, Joseph and Linda Kerr of Wake Forest, N.C.; maternal grandmother Mary Lou Etter of Daville; three sisters, Teresa Kerr Cline of Goldsboro, N.C., Lisa Kerr Kincer of Jasper and Lori Kerr Lortscher of Colleyville, Texas; and several nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Greencastle on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Father Steve Jerrell officiating. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of choice. DeBaun Funeral Homes, Terre Haute, is assisting with arrangements.
