Eagle seventh graders fall to Wildcats

South Putnam's seventh grade A-team lost a close contest to South Vermillion Thursday 37-35. The B-team also fell to the Wildcats 32-16.

Sawyer Arnold blew up for 22 points, but it wasn't enough for the Eagles to overtake the Wildcats. Wes Riner had five points, Hunter Barr three and Wyatt Nees and Taylor Arnold with two each. Derek Chestnut added one point of his own.

Evan Potts led a balanced attack for the B-team. He scored six points, while Nees added four, Austin Query three, Larry Hurst two and Klayton Vittetow one point in the loss.
