GHS freshman fall to Knight
The Greencastle High School boys' freshman basketball team dropped a hard-fought battle to Northview Monday night 50-38.
The Tiger cubs trailed at the half 23-21 only to be outscored 12-4 in the third quarter. Greencastle tried to rally back in the fourth, but couldn't pull it off. Northview sealed the deal hitting 7-of-9 of its free throws in the final frame. All in all, the Knights went 12-17 from the charity stripes while the Tiger Cubs only hit three-out-of-eight.
Trevor Huber and Ryan Battin led the Tiger Cubs with nine points each while Jesse Tesmer pulled down 10 rebounds.
In B-game action, Greencastle fell to the visiting Knights 18-11 in two quarters.
Logan Gardner led the B-team with eight points.
Greencastle hosts Monrovia today at 6 p.m.
