Kristy Smith, Greencastle, was traveling on C.R. 490W at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday when she ran off the road, into a ditch and struck a tree. Smith returned home and phoned in the accident. She told the responding officer she was distracted when the accident occurred. Upon his arrival, he entered the home and some concerns caused him to notify Child Protective Services. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Kristopher Cochran, Greencastle, was traveling south on U.S. 231 at 6 a.m. Thursday when he attempted to make a left turn onto Interstate 70 entrance ramp. A second vehicle driven by Daniel Archer of Vevay was traveling north on U.S. 231 and also approaching the entrance ramp when the drivers failed to observe each other. A collision occurred due to snow and ice covered roadways. Steels' Wrecker Service towed Cochran's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Gary Harpenau, Clinton, was approaching the intersection of U.S. 40 and U.S. 231 when he was unable to stop his vehicle due to icy road conditions. It caused him to slide into a vehicle driven by Joshua Glover, Cabot, Ariz., who was traveling north. The accident occurred at 6:05 a.m. Thursday. Steele's Wrecker Service towed both vehicles from the scene. There was an estimated $5,000 to $10,000 in damages.

Ashley Bonifield, Cloverdale, was traveling west on C.R. 1000S at 7:30 a.m. Thursday when she lost control of the vehicle due to ice and snow covered road conditions. The vehicle struck a mailbox after leaving the roadway. Steele's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from a ditch. There was an estimated $1,000 to $2,500 in damages.

Dennis Bradshaw, Rockville, was traveling east on S.R. 36 when his vehicle collided with a deer causing it to slide sideways and hit a guardrail. There was an estimated $1,000 to $2,500 in damages. Kenny's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene.

Putnam County Jail

Richard Hilbert, 23, Cloverdale, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 3:19 a.m. Wednesday for public intoxication.

Kristina Smith, 29, Indianapolis, was booked at 11:27 a.m. Wednesday for probation violation.

Gerald Webb, 51, Greencastle, was booked at 6:38 p.m. Wednesday for theft.

Tony Bays, 58, Cloverdale, was booked at 11:43 a.m. Thursday for probation violation and public intoxication.

Dannette Boller, Coatesville, was booked at 5:13 p.m. Thursday for theft.

Michael Tewes, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 7:04 p.m. Thursday for theft.

Albert George, 54, Daleville, was booked at 3:12 a.m. Friday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level of more than .15.

Jessica Powell, 19, Indianapolis, was booked at 2:17 p.m. Friday for failure to appear.
