Greencastle High School Senior Logan Grzesiek, son of Tina and Brad Grzesiek, received an Indiana University scholarship for excellent academic achievements in high school. He also received a scholarship for tuition at IU. He is majoring in Business and will be attending the Kelley School of Business.

Renne Payne, daughter of Jim and Margot Payne, received an Indiana University Excellence Scholarship for excellent academic achievements in high school. This scholarship is awarded to in-state students that have a SAT score of 1310 or above or ACT score of 30 or above, and a minimum GPA of 3.80. She attends Greencastle High School.

Counselors at all four county schools say they are usually not notified of scholarship awards by the schools. They rely on parents and students to give the schools that information.

At GHS, the guidance office gives a senior survey asking what school students are attending and what awards or scholarships they have received.

"Please let your counselor know if you have received a scholarship or award from the school you are planning to attend. We want to recognize your accomplishments," said GHS Guidance Director Vicky Williams.
