Hilma McGill, 92, Clay City, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Hickory Creek at Sunset in Greencastle.

She was born Sept. 4, 1916 in Clay County the daughter of Charles Storm and Bertha Morris Storm.

She graduated from Clay City High School. She married Paul Don McGill on Oct. 26, 1935. She was a member of the First Brethren Church in Clay City. Mrs. McGill was a homemaker and enjoyed working in the vegetable and flower garden.

In later years, she volunteered at the local Food Pantry. She was devoted to her family, and was a loving wife, mother and grandma.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Don Bond of Cary, N.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Joan McGill of Clay City, and Paul Keith and Betty McGill of Greencastle; six grandchildren, Pamela Snodgrass (Jim), Kevin Bond (Becky), Michael McGill (Sarah), Michelle Weber (Matt), Scott McGill (Megan) and Courtney McGill; six great-grandchildren, Holley Maycher, Justin Snodgrass, Jeffrey Bond, Alex Bond, Ashley Weber, and Alexis Weber; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Her parents; her husband Paul Don McGill on April 10, 1989; two sisters Alma Jones and Marjorie Hostetler; and one brother Adrian Storm preceded her in death.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Clouse officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again Tuesday prior to services.
