South Putnam announces dates for kindergarten round up

South Putnam School Corporation will be holding kindergarten orientation at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Central Elementary; Wednesday at Reelsville Elementary for last names A to M at 8:30 a.m., and for last names N to Z at 12:30 p.m.; and at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Fillmore Elementary.

Parents should enroll their children at Central, Reelsville or Fillmore elementary schools depending on where they reside. Children should accompany their parents to round up.

Children who will be five years of age on or before Aug. 1 are eligible to enter the kindergarten class for next year.

Parents must bring the following to round up: A legal birth certificate and proof of immunizations.

Attendance at kindergarten round up is very important; however, those unable to attend should contact the respective school offices to verify their child's placement in kindergarten for 2009-10.
