Floretta Eilar

Floretta Eilar, 93, Stilesville, died Thursday, April 2, 2009.

She was born Sept. 27, 1915 in Lebanon to Ross and Amanda Klinger Smith. She married Lloyd F. Eilar and he preceded her in death Oct. 6, 1966.

She worked in accounting at Farm Bureau Insurance for 15 years. She also previously worked for the state of Indiana for 10 years. She had been a homemaker and farm helper to her husband.

She was a member of Stilesville Christian Church.

Survivors include sons DeVaughn Eilar of Greencastle and Richard Eilar of Fishers; daughters Carol Gould and Karen Finchum both of Stilesville; son-in-law Robert Christian of Clayton; sister Olive Breedlove of Georgia; 12 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Her parents, husband, daughter Sheran Sue Christian, one grandchild and three great-grandchildren preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville. Burial will be in Stilesville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
