Cougars split with Southmont

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The North Putnam High School track teams split its track meets with Southmont and Monrovia Tuesday.

The boys' team won the meet with 71.5 points while the girls finished third with 20 points.

Jerrett Ban led the Cougars with multiple wins. He finished first in the long jump with a leap of 19-feet-8.5-inches, while winning the 100-meter run with a time of 11.6 seconds. He also won the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.0 seconds.

Seth Vondersaar won the discus with a throw of 132-feet-1-inch, while Ken Quisenberry won the one-mile event with a time of 5:01.

All three relay teams won their respective races.

For the girls, Casey Preecs won the discus event with a throw of 76-feet-8-inches.
