Putnam County Jail

Robert Tyler, 45, Cloverdale, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 9:59 p.m. Tuesday for public intoxication, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating per se.

Mark Testerman, 47, Greencastle, was booked at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday for public intoxication and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Jimmie Keen, Danville, was traveling west on S.R. 36 at 12:45 p.m. Sunday when a turkey flew in front of his vehicle and hit the windshield. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Nolan Dorsett and Kimberly Whitinger, both of Cloverdale, collided when Dorsett attempted to make a left. Dorsett did not stop in time to avoid hitting Whitinger's vehicle. The accident occurred at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of U.S. 231S and East Tall Oaks Lane Road. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

John Slone, Indianapolis, was traveling south on CR 500W at 3:35 p.m. Monday while intoxicated. His vehicle went into a ditch causing it to flip over. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 415 Anderson St. at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday for an active fire alarm due to cooking. They were back in service at 4:54 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 495 Ridgeland Road at 7:07 p.m. for an alarm malfunction, which was reset. They were back in service at 7:37 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 728 E. Seminary St. at 2:58 a.m. Wednesday for an active alarm, but were disregarded in route. They were back in service at 3:07 a.m.
